Working together for social impact.
At Better Places CIC, our work centres on two connected priorities that shape people’s life chances and create measurable social impact.
Tackling inequality - We support organisations and places to address the factors that drive unequal outcomes, including health inequities, digital exclusion and structural disadvantage.
Our work helps partners understand how inequality shows up locally, whose voices are missing, and what needs to change to create fairer systems and services and real social value.
Expanding access to opportunity - We help make pathways to opportunity clearer, fairer and more connected, particularly for people and communities facing the greatest barriers.
This includes work on social mobility, child poverty, access to skills and work, and inclusive growth.
Alongside our consultancy, we create and run place-based programmes that bring the impact economy to life - building partnerships, strengthening communities, and helping people shape change.
Let's build better places, together.
Why social impact matters.
Social impact isn’t a ‘nice-to-have’. It’s essential to thriving places.
As the challenges facing society become more complex, progress depends on cross-sector collaboration and diverse voices shaping the decisions that affect their lives.
By working together as part of a growing impact economy of organisations all working toward positive social outcomes, we can create fairer, more resilient places, rooted in what communities really need.
